Cons: Fails to recognize HDMI. SD programs work fine, but HD channels have no picture just sound. I see alot of complaints about this on other forums. All have failed around 6-12 months of use. Buy something else! So far no support from Yamaha on this issue.
Cons: The unit will no longer connect to my television, it appears that the HDMI output is corrupted. I unplugged the HDMI cable and attached directly to my cable box and it works fine, so definitely the unit. Was able to fiddle with it and get it working, but it only worked for another week and stoppe...
Summary: HDMI switching function would not work consistently and needed factory reset to restore correct working order. TV screen would show a pink screen for all inputs. Second replacement unit showed same symptoms.
Summary: I liked it overall until it failed to power on for me. If they are going to fail in such a short amount of time then they aren't worth buying in my opinion. Paired it to a HTD surround sound system with externally powered subwoofer. Did sound amazing when it worked.
Pros: Syncs Stereo audio to tv. Has great sound quality and has some banana plug jacks.
Cons: Needs complete set of banana plug jacks. Makes no sense to me why all outputs aren't available as banana plug jacks. Called Yamaha digital and analog signal conversion. I was told it cannot change digital input to analog so if you are using usb port on front you cannot send audio out the back via...
Summary: Arrived and did not work. I really have to question those marketing statements about how refurbished stock is restored to full working order by manufacturer. B-stock is should stand for buyer "B"-ware. Most likely, shined up and repackaged without thorough tests, IMO. Not worth the hassle.
Summary: Got the receiver...plugged it in...would not turn on. No click, lights, sound...nothing. Box did not appear damaged...get to send it back now. Extremely disappointed...thought they checked these before shipping???
