Pros: 2699%... Is this what you want? A percentage of 3000? If not, Street for this Yamaha receiver has worked extremely well! Easy set up, easy-to-use, a bit involved on the 5.1 surround sound but, nothing too serious. Plus… It broke about three months in, I called, I shipped, they fixed and they ship...
Summary: I purchased this to use as a substitute for an Onkyo HT-RC180 (sent for HDMI repair) in my mancave. I push a 7.2 system with PSB towers, midrange and rear surrounds. I have added two 10 inch powered subs and small wide left and rights.
Summary: Well I took a chance on this refurb receiver and came up aces all around. Got this amp to build a 5.1 surround sound system for audio and home theatre system. Have had for about a year now and it has worked perfectly. It has many settings and variable concert sound modes.
Summary: Great receiver for the money. Wanted a stereo gift for my 13 yr. old son. His Aunt and Grandparents agreed to pitch in and I bought some refurbished Advent Baby IIs off eBay as well for my part. Why a AV receiver?
Cons: Fails to recognize HDMI. SD programs work fine, but HD channels have no picture just sound. I see alot of complaints about this on other forums. All have failed around 6-12 months of use. Buy something else! So far no support from Yamaha on this issue.
Summary: This is our third Yamaha receiver. We've had the first one for over 8 years and it continues to work flawlessly, it just didn't fit our new stereo cabinet. This new unit was simple to connect (we're all Hdmi now) and simpler to control, even though it has more features than our old one.
