  When hooking up a turntable and cassette deck have tried various input choices and all resulted in muted sound levels as compared to the reciever and cd player. Any suggestions? Thanks

  Volume on this reciever goes from -80 to +16, but I get no sound at all until around -20 or less. Most of the range produces no sound. Is there something wrong with the unit, or is this normal?

  Cable TV running through my receiver works in 5.1 mode just fine, however my blu-ray player (samsung) seems to need the receiver to be on dsp setting (the one in the manual suggests the DVD Movie Dramatic) mode.
  This seems really odd to me.
  Am I getting a synthesized 5.1 sound, or is this how the receiver handles DTS and TrueHD and Prologic?
