Summary: This receiver done me good for close to 5-6 year's. I haven't had any issues with it during that long time that I had it. It still sound great and it was the best thing I bought. The 5.1 analog muiti channel input's on the rear is very handy when you are using it with a PC sound card.
Summary: Purchased in May 2008. Would not turn on this morning. Also, not a single universal remote I purchased ever worked right with this receiver. The 14 year old JVC it replaced is now back in the living room working fine. Last Yamaha item I purchase.
Summary: This is an excellent receiver - it has multiple input features and TNTC sound quality adjustments that makes listening to anything a very tailored experience. I use it primarily to listen to my iPod, but I could route my entire home entertainment system through it if I had enough HDMI cables.
Summary: First initially i was worried that i'm spending so much money on this and it is always a pain to return and do all sorts of shipping business, but first when i plugged this receiver to my tv, and home theater system, we are enjoying the sound effects and enjoying the movie.
Summary: I have this received hooked up to my Klipsch Synergy III surround sound speakers. However, I do not currently own a sub and cannot review how this receiver works with one. My inputs are the surround sound ouput from my computer, and my Cowon S9 Pros: This receiver was inexpensive.
Summary: My husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer last summer. We didn't have a lot of money to play with after his illness; but he did have a "Bucket List" of things he wanted to have or do before his time comes. One of the the things on his list was a High Def TV. We got a Sony Bravia 42.
