Summary: I have owned Yamaha receivers for 20 years, and this is my fourth. Every time, I look at competitors' products, but I always come back to Yamaha for the sound quality and versatility. As with all of my previous Yamahas, this receiver is almost perfect, with just a few minor issues.
Summary: I have had this for about two weeks now. Most of the longer reviews here are spot on. This is a great receiver, powerful, great features. My one disappointment, and the reason it doesn't get five stars, is because the receiver cannot play digital audio sources in the 2nd and 3rd zones even when...
Summary: I have been using this receiver every day for 4 months. Overall the receiver is worth the money because of the HDMI support. I purchased this receiver because my Series 3 Tivo, DVR Cable Box and DVD are all HDMI. In order to control them I needed a receiver that supports 3 HDMI devices.
Summary: This receiver had everything I needed in one box: 3 HDMI inputs (that weren't just pass through), 140W (per speaker) output, 1080i upscaling, and a good price. If your buying this receiver you shouldn't pay any more than around $1200.
Pros: - 3 HDMI Inputs & Upconversion - Media streaming functions - Full 1080p throughput - Automatic setup with included microphone - Enough in/outs for 10 devices
Cons: - No THX processing - Screen flicker when switching between HDMI - No menu/volume overlay on HDMI inputs - Remote can be very confusing
Summary: It sounds good, looks good and works well. Doesn't present too many buttons and dials on the front whihc may please many (most are behind the flap). Only down side is the remote which isnt the most intuitive device you can imagine, but it is progammble, so you can contol other items in your system...
Summary: The RX-V2700 has more features than any receiver I know of in any category. The main features that distinguish it are: * Play MP3s (off PC running the proper software)/Internet Radio * High Power (140x7 - One channel driven into 8ohm from 20hz-20khz) * Handles 7.1 multi-channel PCM over HDMI,...
Summary: I chose the yamaha above the dennon because of the better video output and having 3 zone outputs instead of 2 like the dennon. I am able to now run my home theater and also music to my intercomm and a separate output in a different room through my M&s intercom for ipod or radio etc...
Pros: multiple outputs, more than dennon avr 2807, better video quality for the price.
Summary: This receiver has done everything I had hoped for. The remote control leaves a lot to be desired, but if you have a universal remote, use that instead. I am disappointed that the on screen display only works when using a standard resolution signal.
Pros: HDMI Up-Conversion 6-HD Inputs Auto-Setup feature balances speaker levels very well using the mic. It checks for problems with wiring... it helped me to find a crossed wire. Sound Quality!
Cons: I am not crazy about the yellow-orange display... blue looks a heck of a lot nicer. The remote is hopeless. I ended up using my Harmony 880 remote instead.
Summary: Salve a tutti... Quest'oggi vi parlerò del sintoamplificatore yamaha AV receiver RX-V2700 che funge da ottima interfaccia fra le altri componenti elettroniche video e audio che ci sono in sala.
