Summary: I'm loving this receiver every time I listen to musics, watch blue-ray movie or TV. I have Bose sound system I used with Kenwood receiver and thought Bose is just another name brand. I wasn't impressed with the sound with my old receiver till I hook this up to Yamaha rv-1900. Oh man, I'm blowned away!!! Love my sound system! I learned from my experience that your receiver is important to get the sound quality you expected.
Summary: I am overall very happy with this. The first one I got was busted as the IR sensor would shut off after 10 minutes of use. I was sent a replacement and it works great. The instructions are a little difficult to understand. There are so many features I will never use. The remote is really ugly and kind of useless. I have a Harmony remote that I use anyway. The sound is much better than what I had before.
Summary: The system is great but it takes some getting used to when you try to program the remote to customize it with your routine. Programming the am/fm stations seems to be the most challenging but I think I can master it okay, If you are in to this kind of equipment, you cannot go wrong buying a V1900 receiver. It is top of the line. By the way, the best place to purchase equipment of this kind is Amazon. They treat you right and will stand behind everything they sell.
Summary: I was considering the purchase of a new Yamaha RX-V863 since I wanted a receiver with HD Radio but decided to purchase a used RX-V1900 for about the same price because it offered an extra zone for audio. The V1900 looks new, sounds great, and also has a clean appearance. It didn't come with a manual, and the controls are not as conventional as the V863, nor are they intuitive, so learning its capabilities has been a little frustrating.
Great amp, takes awhile to setup, after that you ready to rock

Summary: Purchased this amp through this site, to replace my Yamaha RXV2950 Flagship amp from 1999. Wanted to go to 1 wire hook up and get rid of the miles of wire I used to have. I did the initial setup with the Ypao microphone Yamaha supplies. Worked pretty well, and was really amazed how accurate it was on speaker distance to seating. Still wasn't quite there so I went to a manual setup with my RadioShack meter. Much better after the test setup.
Summary: I purchased this receiver to replace my older Yamaha RX-V1000 which I liked a lot and had no problems with the entire time I had it. I purchased this receiver to get HDMI, HD Radio, and Zone 2 amplified sound. I have the amplifier set up to drive an LCD HDTV via HDMI and a projector w/ component video. Sound Quality: This was high priority for me as I primarily listen to music.
