Summary: I'll first start by saying that I got this receiver as a gold box deal for $277, so my impression of its value in comparison to other receivers may be a bit skewed. That being said, this receiver offers beautiful sound quality with great video upconversion, and is incredibly easy to use.
Summary: I bought this unit because I love my Yamaha receiver that I've owned for the past 10+ years but needed to upgrade to take advantage of the new sound formats with BluRay. There was no problem connecting everything to it. The sound on BluRay, DVR & DVD is fantastic!
7.1+.1 or 9.1+.1 but not 7.2, built in IR repeater!, let me explain

Summary: I am very pleased with this purchase but the description as a 7.2 is wrong. This is a 7.1 with two separate sub outputs but the outputs are not separately controlled just a single split signal so technically this is only 7.1 with a built in split to two RCA connections.
Summary: I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because of the WEAK built in tuner. I replaced a Yamaha HTR-5063 which is a much lower end model, and even though it was lower end the built in FM tuner was SUPERIOR compared to the RX-V1065BL. On the flip side this does have HD radio which my previous model didn't.
Summary: I like the receiver the sound is good easy to use but the only thing that i did not care for is that the antena does not pick up the signal very well. other than that it is very good receiver.
Summary: this is a awsome receiver it will do almost enything u can think of im vary vary vary happy the only thing I can find if i had to find something wrong with it would be when u go from one thing to another the sub will make a bump every time u do something and there is no fix
Summary: Does everything it should well but receive off-air signals. I read the reviews too, so I was aware of this problem. Since I have a Satelite(XM)receiver hooked to it, I bought it anyway, due to the price. Off-air reception is as reported. Everything else works perfectly and is simple to set up.
Summary: Wish I could set LFE crossover on a per-speaker basis. Wish it had a front HDMI input for camcorder/digicam.
Pros: Price. Sounds Great. Solid construction. Auto speaker calibration. On screen menu does make things easy. DSP functions are good if you like that. Ipod integration work with on screen. Can navigate ipod from TV. Sources: PS3, Tivo HD Speakers: Def Tech Mythos Gems, ML dynamo sub
Cons: Rapid clicking when switching between inputs on some occasions. On screen menus are not overlaid video, are are not in HD. Also it looks pretty bad compared to SONY. Switching to on-screen menu is slow. HD radio tuner take 3-4 secs to lock in a station. Remote in general is not very good. Dated l...
