C. Cashman, Amazon

  • Summary: This thing ROCKS! We had a 20K Control4 system in our past house, and it didn't work as well as this thing does. We have it hooked up just to a living room TV system, and speakers. It connects to the wifi and lets you connect to any internet radio station or airplay from any mac device super easily,...

I'm in love. Awesome Receiver with air play

Carl Bader, Amazon
6 September 2014
  • Summary: I love it! Mainly got it because of the size and airplay feature. Hooked up to a JBL Studio 200 5.0 system. Worth every penny. The iPhone remote is great and I use a mac mini server to play my entire iTunes library via airplay and apples remote app. It's absolutely fabulous.

Great equipment, price and size

Maxim Brandwajn, Amazon
29 May 2014
  • Summary: This equipment delivers on its promise. Sound is clear, power is more than enough (I can't ever raise it completely), and works exactly as described. Only problem was with the network remote control via iphone that never worked correctly, however, it's not a big issue for me.

Small package big sound

GunnyUSMC, Amazon
15 May 2014
  • Summary: I had read the reviews and some complain of lack of power, I am not having that problem at all and why, for one thing I stop using the mic set up where it always drops the rear channels to 2 or 3 and in some cases I,ve seen negative 3.

Good things come in small packages.

Kevin Nicholls "jaded, aging hipster", Amazon
28 April 2014
  • Summary: Admittedly, I'm a Yamaha fan. From the RX-V667 to the newer Aventage RX-A830 and many before, Yamaha builds some fine receivers. Normally, I'd be very apprehensive about a compact receiver in this price range, but I know over the past couple of years, Yamaha has put a lot of research and design in...

Excellent Option If You Have Space Limitations

Dennis Meek, Amazon
17 April 2014
  • Summary: I picked up the RX-S600 because I had concerns about overheating with my current RX-V673. There is no concern about the quality of the older RX-V673 it's where we have it located that caused the concern.

Satisfied my need for compact receiver

eyespi, Yamaha
29 March 2014
  • Summary: After much searching for a receiver that would fit in a small cabinet space in our RV, the Yamaha RX-S600 appeared. Only a little cutting out of the back of the cabinet and it slid right in and the door could close.
  • Pros: Accurate Controls, Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
  • Cons: Confusing / Bad Remote Control

Slim form factor but not slim on features

Fishing Fool, Amazon
29 March 2014
  • Summary: This receiver is a very nice upgrade from the standard entry level Yamahas. The first thing I noticed was its slim low profile form factor at only about 3" high not counting the feet. Despite its small size it is actually heavier than the larger entry level models.
