Summary: Best receiver, high quality sound, take your time and read the users manual, hdmi control the best, easy to use, I can control my laptop & PS3 player without programing the Yamaha remote, very happy!

Summary: Ordered a Yamaha RX-V775A originally but, somebody drove a forklift through the box (Obvious external damage) and then decided to ship it to me. The right side had a massive bashed in forklift scar. Return process was flawless as usual, but QC needs to be improved.
Summary: This RX-A830 hums like the old TVs did in the 1950s and 60s. I'm also having a problem with the HDMI 1 output. The service tech I talked to said it was probably a transformer in the unit, so I will take it in for servicing in 2 weeks.
Summary: Sound is very, very good. I had some back speakers I was looking at replacing because of the sound quality (or lack thereof). This receiver made me change my mind. I also like the Pandora integration though typing in the username/password is a pain. HOWEVER...
Summary: Hello All, I down graded from separates (Anthem AVM-30) to this unit. I need HDMI switching & stand by HDTV viewing while unit is off. The sound is really good but I do miss the bass. That's the biggest difference. The bass isn't a tight enough. I'll do some more adjusting to fix this issue.
Summary: peice of s***.does not live up to the reveviews i got before purchase . my onkyo was much better at half the price I spent on this junk. unlike onkyos macro remote where one remote replaced all my remotes. the yamaha remote does not..so im back to a coffee table of remotes.
