  • Summary: This is a great sounding reciever, im happy with the sound quality and the features that come with it. However, twice now firmware updates have broken things with the unit. I contact Support and they tell me to bring the unit back to the dealer. The features were working fine until the firmware updates.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
  • Cons: Firmware Buggy

What are you waiting for???

  • Summary: I love this receiver!! I had an Onkyo TX-NR1009 that bit the bullet (hdmi card went out/no audio) 1 month after the warranty expired. I had switched to Onkyo receivers a few years back and originally was using Yamaha receivers. Why I switched to Onkyo at the time is beyond me. I absolutely love the full sound that this receiver provides. The options are pretty much limitless as far as I am concerned. I have it setup in an 8.2 configuration (1 rear surround back speaker).

Really like this receiver.

  • Summary: I have been updating my home theater for about 2 years. Tried an Onkyo Receiver, not happy with the sound ever. Tried an Emotiva UMC-1 with an Anthem amp, better, but never the sound I was looking for to match the old Yamaha I had. So I got the RX-A3030. Very happy with the decision. The set up was fairly easy but I find the manual on disc a bit annoying. It worked first time and the YPOA was very accurate. Some minor tweaks and the wife and I are very pleased.
  • Pros: Accurate Controls, Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Good Remote Control, Great Sound Quality
  • Cons: Poor Reception / Weak Antenna, Runs Hot

True high fidelity and solidness

  • Summary: I purchased this product to upgrade from my existing Yamaha RX-V1600. Although I am still working my way through all the functions on the RX-A3030, It is everything I was looking for in a receiver. Once it was easily hooked to my home theater system, I immediately noticed the widening, spaceous, depth in the sound. "you will not need to crank this baby up to start enjoying the sound." The picture is also great. Everything plays in 1080p, even the commercials.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Energy Efficient, Good looks, Great Sound Quality, Lots Of Power, Solid
  • Cons: None

  • Summary: One of the best AVR on the market. The build quality the sound and video quality are as perfect as possible. Worth every penny. In US this receiver sells at half price if you compare it with New Zealand. My AVR drives 2 Polk RTI A7 and centre channel Polk CSI a6 for surrounds 6 kef eggs and sub Kef Cube 2 with great detail and an impeccable sound quality.
