We keep returning to Yamaha A/V equipment and are very happy with this
28 March 2015
Summary: We have had audio and video equipment from Yamaha, McIntosh, Marantz, NAD, and several other companies. Our experience has ranged from excellent (as we have come to expect from Yamaha and McIntosh) to very disappointing (as we have learned to expect from some other brands.
Summary: This thing rocks! I have had it for a while, powering my home theater, but recently wired up two more zones in my house for sound. I am using an Android app on my smartphone to control the audio around the house - I can pick songs and playlists, adjust volume and DSP settings, change AM/FM stations,...
Summary: I've had this now for several months - No issue so far and the power is really great! It pushes my Klipsch RF-82 and RC-62 really nicely, no distortion, one of the smallest THD on the market in this price range. It's worth the money!
Summary: 5 stars for the "good" price on this 'new in box' home theater receiver. Dynamic service was great - unit arrived much quicker than advertised - most happy. Have set up the receiver and calibrated the speakers but have not even scratched the surface as far as really configuring any of the options.
Summary: I debated between several brands before choosing this receiver based on a salesperson's recommendation. Boy, am I glad I listened to him. I didn't realize how terrific Yamaha A/V equipment is! This receiver produces full, rich, absolutely clean and pure sound.
Summary: I upgraded from the RX-V990 to this AVR. Multizone functionality is very nice. I like being able to use the iPhone app to control the other zones. The lack of AirPlay was not a huge deal. I have an Apple TV to make up for that.
Summary: I bought a display model at a great price from best buy and I'm happy to say that it is an amazing unit. I haven't had a chance to use it in anything but 5.1 but even still it blows away my old sony receiver.
