Receiver died after 3 months - can't get hold of Yamaha support.
1 February 2013
Summary: I bought this from Amazon on Oct-20th because of the $1,050 price when the new model was released. I used this in a condo living room for general TV-watching and because of the environment it was never driven very hard.
Cons: Buggy, HDMI settings will get lost randomly and the hometheatre will suddenly go silent, to fix it, I have to go back to the menu and fumble with HDMI controls Will randomly shut itself off after prolonged movie watching
Summary: I bought this to replace a pioneer elite vs-31 think I am getting a upgrade. It is very easy to set up, network radio is disappointing though as it is canned to several few preselected commercial stations, either fee based or commercial based.
Summary: Stopped working and Yamaha can't repair it After three attempts. I lost both subwoofer channels and after bringing in for repair by the so called authorized repair center, the subwoofers still do not work. Calling Yamaha Tech Support is a complete waste of time.
Summary: I bought it for $1499.00 months ago, but right now only $1099.00, price decreased much bigger. The quality of sound is so so,I think that manufacturer and dealer both understood this machine is not valueable for that money.
