Summary: We bought this 9 months ago and love it. The sound quality is phenomenal, and using AV controller lets me turn on the system while outside from my android phone, adjust the volume, and also stream music directly to the outside speakers (zone 2) from my phone. No going inside to make adjustments. All this while my wife is inside watching TV in the living room using the same system(zone 1). We liked it so much we just bought the RX-A3010 for the media and game rooms.
Summary: This receiver is fantastic! I recently upgraded from an older Yamaha (RXV 667) which was also terrific, but I felt I needed a little more power to run my Definitive Tech speakers (BP6 fronts, CLR 2030 center, SM 350 surrounds) in my system. I'm also running a Martin Logan Dynamo 1000 sub, and on certain scenes, my sub was overpowering my fronts. Even after calibration, I noticed this, so I wanted a little more juice for the setup. Enter the A1010.
Summary: Basically I did a lot of research on the best receivers and this one comes highly recommended. We wanted a receiver with great sound and a lot of power and we weren't disappointed. Connecting the receiver was a bit challenging and we almost called in a professional but we finally figured it out. Love all the features and would highly recommend it.
Summary: I finally got my Yamaha RXA1010 surround hooked up in my theater room. WOW!!!! This thing really sounds fantastic! It has all the features of much more expensive units on the market but at a reasonable price. Seens to be pretty easy to use and the on screen capability is impressive. Would definatly recommend this unit to anybody.
Summary: 20 years ago I was a High End Home stereo salesman. I would say I am experienced at the least. I have had 2 Onkyos over the last 10 years. I thought they sounded good, maybe not great. My last txsr707 was a piece of garbage. It lasted 3 years and got so hot you could literally cook an egg on it. BiAmping did not make any difference, the sound was always dull. I searched reviews everywhere for months before I pulled the trigger on this. So where to start?
Summary: I spent many hours researching all of the different A/V receivers. The reviews appeared to put this one at the top. The store I purchased from (not Amazon) allowed me to compare this receiver to the other top receivers. The Yamaha clearly outclassed the others for audio. Unfortunately, I was not able to compare this receiver to Integra's products, but I can't imagine they are better.
Summary: I can't imagine how I could be happier. I upgraded for the HDMI Inputs and found the best features come from the network connectivity. How cool is it to have receiver access to almost any music ever recorded?
Summary: We purchased this for the features and good luck with other Yamaha products. So far, my wife and I are very happy with the sound, relative ease of use and the myriad of connectivity choices. We wish the remote control was backlit. The manual is a bit daunting but Yamaha has been helpfull in answering the two questions we have had to date.
