Summary: BASICALLY, if you are satisfied with a close-to-right audio setup, then you might find setting up this unit irksome. But if you are a sound perfectionist then its automated setup will save a whole lot of time and gives quite good results. Highly recommended! This is more of a comment than review.
Summary: Nice power and sound from this receiver. It is easy to set up and the 2 hdmi inputs are a nice plus. The sound is crisp and powerfull with very little ditortion. It does tend to get a little warm/hot when used at high volumes for a long time.
Summary: O.k. had this for about a week now. I don't consider myself to be all that tech savvy so I had kind of a hard time at first. I dont intend to ever use all the fancy features this amp has like all the fancy dvd scene selection feature it has or whatever.
Summary: ... to fall far short of where this unit could be. There just seems to be a lack of real world user input that would have made a big difference. Some of this was not described clearly in the sales information. 1.
Yamaha HTR-6140BL 525 Watt 5.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver by Yamaha

Summary: I read all the reviews and the most prominent issue was the complicated manual.I will have to agree 100%...whoever pieced it together must have been on crack. It had me looking at multiple pages at once...(while reading page 5..it tells me I have to also see page 16..
Summary: I connected this device with a set of JBL speakers and subwoofer, a Sony DVD and Optoma Projector. Works perfectly through the HDMI connections. I find it an excellent choice for the price, you dont really need a 7.1 system specially if the room is not that big, I can't get it past half the volume...
Summary: I purchased this receiver, and it is an excellent value for the price. It's 105 watts per channel, along with clarity, and music and sound definition makes it gret for music, and home theater. I set it up with infinity setellites, and a JBL sub. Wow! What a combination for sound.
Summary: This was a great deal. This one is less expensive than other AV receivers but you really get a great bang for your buck here. It produces crisp clear sounds. Remote is a little confusing but once you figure it out it is great. I love the on screen programing.
Summary: I have been a Sony fan for years. This reciever was very easy to set up. Ajustments to dial everthing in just a little complicated. Well wotrh the extra effort. When blue ray movie was played the first time I was just blown away. Excellent value for the money.
