An amazing buy

wakeenyan, Ebay
4 June 2009
  • Summary: This reciever came brand-new. Even as a b-stock item, I could not see any flaws myself. This was my first "Automatic System Calibration", and "WOW!!". I was happy that I only had to move one speaker, and couldn't believe the difference in sound when it was done.

Great Tuner

Overstock
12 April 2009
  • Summary: With this tuner you can plug all the equipment you have into it. That was one thing I was looking for in replacing my old tuner. There are a lot of different settings for the surround sound speakers. You have to spend a little time reading up on the settings and testing them out for the best sound for your speakers for movies, cd's, listening to the radio, phonographs, PS3 etc. It even has 2 optical inputs.

Yamaha HTR 6040 Great Receiver

paxromano777, Ebay
22 March 2009
  • Summary: This is a great budget receiver. Setup is easy with the included microphone and Yamaha system. They receiver will auto set and detect each speaker. The sound is plenty loud for my room, and the reciever is driving 15yr old book shelf speakers. I added a new sub woofer and now the sound is amazing. The only thing this reciever does not have is HDMI connections. The reciever has many sound settings from Nighttime to 5ch Stero.

Yamaha HTR 6040 5.1 channel Receiver - Superb Product!

moline_m, Ebay
11 March 2009
  • Summary: I did the research. Looked for best prices. Ebay has great deals! This product has outperformed even my very highest expectations! You cannot go wrong with this model. Its ability to setup your sound field automatically by listening to the acoustics of your room is incredible. I purchased some great quality in wall surround sound speakers and this receiver made them come alive!!!

Yamaha sound

Cul1 "CullarK", Amazon
25 February 2009
  • Summary: Product was delivered quickly, and it delivers a Yamaha quality sound in the media room. I was surprised the unit isn't heavier, but the sound is good. Plenty of features/options for customizing your sound. I like the YPAO sound equqlization feature.

Junk!!!

Eugene F. Lovett "geneie1", Amazon
3 February 2009
  • Summary: This item was received with many scratches on the display window. The unit actually rocked back and forth due to an uneven bottom cover. The unit also was DOA! Horrible experiance! This was supplied by "OUTLET" as refurbished. They did give me credit without a hassle...but never would purchase from them again...neither should you!!!

So far so good

A. Dichsen "KAMB", Amazon
1 January 2009
  • Summary: Purchased this item (about 3 weeks ago) purely for it's audio functions, not for television use. It produces good sound (with klipsch speakers) and I guess works fine. It was pretty easy to set up, but I can't figure out how to do half of the stuff that it is supposed to do for audio. The instruction manual is very vague and I think incomplete.
