Summary: great sounding receiver, more than loud enough pushing 4 large speakers for audio/video...with a coax digital cable tv input and an optical cable for a blue ray, it auto switches to the one on..no hdmi in/outs...
Yamaha is still getting it right in Receivers these are top notch products.

Summary: Yamaha always makes nice receivers. This one has plenty of power for all the speakers I need to fill the house with sound, it's neither too bright and it is not muddy with bass at low, medium or high, shake-the-earth volumes.
Excellent buy for this reliable, well-built piece of superior equipment.

Summary: I've had this receiver for several years now - I've replaced it with two different receivers - an Onkyo and a Harman Kardon - I've gone back to THIS Yamaha both times - neither of the other (more expensive and fancier) receivers had the sound quality that this one does.
Summary: I know this was a used unit , but it came filthy dirty, one foot pad broken off , packaged very poorly. How hard would it have been to at least clean it up. At least it seems to function properly, but very disappointing.
Summary: Delivery by OneCall was fantastic !! It was shipped the next day and I got the system the next day. Sounds incredible so far. The only problem I found is, if, for some reason, the system cannot decode the DVD audio, it does not switch the Input mode to 'Analog'.
Summary: I was tired of not having surround sound to go along with my hdtv, so I needed a cheap system to last me until HDMI 1.3 is implemented, when i will overhaul my entire setup...tv, receiver, speakers, sub, etc...
Summary: I've had Sony's receivers for years and years, and all my components are Sony as well. I've been replacing my old Sony receivers every 4 or 5 years...most recently replacing my STE475, which for some reason decided to drop the center and surround speakers whenever it felt like it.
