Summary: This receiver should be worth more for it's features and the quality it enjoys from being made by a reputable manufacturer. Set up is easy enough, just make sure you have the appropriate adapters for your specific speakers. The unit does not run hot and my TV stand does not have much ventilation. Even with the glass front closed, there are no heat issues.
Summary: I've been using a htr-5730 for several years now with no issues. Really good receiver for it's price range. Pros: Good tuner sound quality and sensitivity. Pretty clean sounding amp. I drove 4 ohm jbl speakers with no problems. I really like the ability to adjust bass and treble for the front mains while in a surround mode. 5 band center EQ is a nice feature. Tons of surround sound fields and adjustments.

Summary: The AV receiver was correctly represented and was exactly what I ordered. The vendor did not embellish or exaggerate and also made note of the scratch on the chassis. It was no problem as I was stacking so cosmetics was not a selling point for me. I would definitely buy again from this vendor.
Summary: Very simple, I understood that it was the receiver and that was it, it was cheap while suiting my needs. If I wanted something more powerful or more complete I would have bought something else, but this is a great was to simply do what I need to be done. Simple and Cheap. Side note: W/out a remote some people may have issues, but I have a Harmony...so needless to say I was in great shape.
Summary: 5 years ago I purchased a Yamaha receiver that I still use to this day. I decided to buy a second receiver and pieced together a system that I now enjoy in my kitchen/dining room area. The features of this receiver are simple to use, and it performs exactly how I need it to. It is reliable, sounds incredible, and is attractive to look at. You can't go wrong with these receivers.
Summary: This thing wails! I found these Klipsch speakers in my neighbors garbage and I found this reciever on ebay and now I blow away my whole culdusac! Unbelievable! The Klipsch are on my the A channel and I have some bose outdoor speakers on the B channel for the back yard, the 500W reciever makes the whole neighborhood seem like a concert. Reciever cost me 26$ on Ebay........
Summary: This receiver is perfect for the normal home theatre system. It isn't complicated, but it has enough features to satisfy. I have some sound issues with some of my videos and when I turn up the volume, baby, this thing cranks! Clear crisp sound and several sound types (hall, live concert, surround, stereo, mono, analog, etc). The only thing holding it back is the display.
Summary: Love that it offers lots of features while maintaining Yamaha's sound precision. Great package and an affordable price. This reciever will surprise you with all of its features and nice orange display.
Summary: It only has composite inputs for video, so it's not the best in that regard, but it has three digital audio inputs, an analog 6-channel input, several stereo inputs and lots of sound enhancement options. I really liked the 5-channel stereo mode.
