Summary: I purchased this surround sound as a college graduation gift to myself back in 2001...its 2014 and its still going strong!! Being a recent college grad at the time, I couldn't afford top of the line, but at the time, this was considered "middle ground" and I was very impressed with the quality then...
Summary: Bought this in 2002 for $300.00, really wanted a higher model but cash was tight at the time. This is my second Yamaha receiver, and I think it's safe to say I'm a Yamaha Lifer. I also have a Yamaha DVD player which is awesome, plays all digital formats except .MKV.
Summary: I have only used it a couple of days and I think it is a great product. It does what it is supposed to do and does it well. I would like to be able to adjust the voulme manually between the rear and front and center speakers but I don't know of any unit that allows this.
