Summary: This refurbished receiver has been powering my 2.1 stereo system for the last three weeks. Aside from some network issues and unverifiable calibration, I've been happy. Upon receiving the unit, I updated to the latest firmware (1.16) via USB, and was thereafter unable to connect to the wired network...
Summary: It is a Yamaha so the audio quality is excellent. But some caveats. For non technical people, it will be too hard to set up. There are probably simpler options like an all in one surround speaker kit. Yamaha makes those too.
Pros: Good value, Great Sound Quality
Cons: Confusing / Bad Remote Control, Difficult To Set Up, Outdated On Screen Ui, Poor Reception / Weak Antenna
Summary: Really happy with the sound quality and the features in this receiver. Got a factory refurb, but no signs of it being a factory second in any way other than the plain cardboard box it came in.
This is really a Network A Receiver - there is no network V

Summary: I expected that this would replace my Roku so I could stream movies from the Internet. However, by Network AV it means Internet Radio. Nice and sounds great, but just a little below expectations.
Summary: Performance wise, it is 5 stars, but the cosmetic scratch( knife slit) at the front case was very noticeable and there was a dent on top of the case. Even though, the product was refablished. it was not satisfied. So, I put 4 stars.
Summary: I only took a star off because the mobile remote for my Android phone doesn't really work well and the in-system menus are unnecessarily complicated. Yamaha would have been better off just putting a small PC/Mac program into the package to help set major functions and access online/network menus.
Summary: Seems to work like a champ.. Certainly looks good, had the wattage I needed to run the installed speakers I have (a 5.1 setup w/ a Yamaha 8" sub from years ago). My 20 year old Kenwood receiver finally kicked the power chip bucket, so I thought I'd try this since I had a matching sub to sit with it.
Summary: To use with all modern way of connecting...including airplay. This makers iT possible to work semi wireless, connecting iMac, iPad or iPhone as source. The Price was very low considering the quality of this product. (Allways using Yamaha.)
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
Summary: Very nice receiver. My refurbished unit looked new. My major complaint is that the component input from my DVD player can only be viewed by using component output to my TV (I thought it would convert it to HDMI). The web radio and iPod playing features are useful.
