The best choice for a receiver in its price range!
22 December 2014
Summary: I hooked up two front speakers Yamaha NS-S34 and a subwoofer polk DSW PRO660. Sounds great! Pros: - powerfull and clean sound - internet radio and good network detection - quality construction - lots of sound modes - plenty of inputs - 4K and 3D compatible - price Cons: - no WiFi - for internet radio need to use TV display
Summary: This replaced a Yamaha receiver from 1999. I hated to part with that one, but I really wanted one with mode video switching capabilities. For the price this is a solid product and very easy to use.
Took a leap of faith and ordered a refurbished unit... and was very pleased.

Summary: No cosmetic damage whatsoever, the only concern was the packaging (before opening). Amazon did the right thing in putting it in a new box because the original was a bit sketchy (due to water damage maybe?). Anyway, all the functions work flawlessly (that I have tried) and I LOVE the network capabilities, they're just awesome. I now have the Yamaha AV controller app on my Kindle Fire HD and my iPhone, although the Kindle app runs a bit smoother I think.
Summary: To use with all modern way of connecting...including airplay. This makers iT possible to work semi wireless, connecting iMac, iPad or iPhone as source. The Price was very low considering the quality of this product. (Allways using Yamaha.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
Summary: Bought it refurbished, seems to be new. Though it might well be worth the full retail I could not have paid that price - so it was a fab buy for me. Added a powered Polk subwoofer and a center channel in-wall speaker to 4 Minimus 7's. Incredible sound.
Pros: Arc Play Nice W Hdtv, Arc Play-thru Nice W Hdtv, Clean Appearance, Energy Efficient, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
