Summary: The Yamaha DSP A1 was the flagship of Yamaha's Home Theater integrated amplifier in the late 90's. I have owned one since 1999, and it has proven to be a superb 5.1 home theater and 2 channel amplifier. (I actually bought a 2nd one as a spare in case my first one ever goes out.) When set-up with quality speakers, speaker cables and interconnect cables, you will have one hell of an audio system on your hands.
very happy to have found exactly what I needed on ebay.

Summary: Product is amazing for late "90s technologies. The cleanest sound I have heard from ANYONE in this era. Superclean even by today's standards. I worked in audio repair for several years and found out that Yamaha's just don't break very often, unless you drop it off the equipment truck.
Summary: I bought my A-1 a couple of years ago on e-bay. I had wanted one of these beauties since auditioning one in 98 at a high end audio store when i was living in San Diego. They had it hooked up to a 5.1 system of BW monitors and the sound was incredible. No matter the format at the time it performed so well with a noise floor incredibly low. I love to play with yamahas different modes with this at the time had the most out there.
Summary: I couldn't find anything about this gem on he internet. It's an older high-end surround receiver primarily for music, does 7.1 surround (the extra 2 channels are front surrounds, mounted above your main speakers. Dolby is introducing a version of this). Allows extreme flexibility in recreating all kinds of acoustic spaces, plus Dolby Pro-Logic (but no Dolby digital and no 5.1 input:( Sound quality and power blows away any of the bottom end new surround receivers.
Summary: This model, known as Yamaha’s “10th Anniversary” edition since the introduction of the DSP-1 processor, is a big change in all of its predecessors. The first change, clearly visible, is the size. This beast, completely boxed weights over 100lbs. It succeeds the highly-regarded DSP-A3090 Soundfield Processing Amplifier, the first one to feature Dolby Digital. The Yamaha DSP-A1 would be the last model to be an integrated amplifier.
Summary: This really is a top of the line Home Theater Amp from Yamaha. Weighs in around 22 KGs and performs superbly. Has all the features and input/outputs one can think of. Does Dolby Digital as well as DTS decoding. Also has additional two channels for front top left and front top right to give better surround impact. I have been using the amp for the last 1 year and has no complaints and am proud of it's performance.
Summary: I CANT BELIEVE THIS RECIEVER IS HERE FOR THIS PRICE.IWENTEVERYWHERE TO FIND THIS RECIEVER AND EVERY STORE HAD IT FOR 2700.00DOLLARS.SO IWENT AND BOUGHT THE YAMAHA RX-V2095 WICH IS AGOOD RECEIVER ALSO BUT ITS NOT THE DSP-A1.IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN I WOULD HAVE GOT IT HERE AND GOT THE RECIEVER I REALLY WANTED AND SAVED.
Summary: Yamaha a1 es un amplificador top-class. Con un sonido limpio, un una contrucion elegante y bien respetada. Sin duda es uno de los mejores amplificadores. Es una combinacio de fuerza en audio, acustica, tecnologia y facil de usar.
