Summary: We love this! So compact and easy to operate. We had a larger system in the house that was old and out dated. We use this for our outdoor speaker system and notice the quality in the sound right away. For the price and use, we love it!
Great little receiver - easy to use and sounds great.

Summary: Great little receiver. I bought this for my 70 year old parents in-wall speaker system, and it's perfect for them. Yamaha sound quality, and it's easy to use without any unnecessary bells and whistles to cause confusion.
Summary: This is a spectacular receiver. I wanted something with a small footprint and audiophile quality, and this delivered. The specs are top notch and the unit delivered on its promise. The FM reception is superior, the controls are simple and clear, and it has all the current and legacy inputs.
Summary: Not very happy with this unit and it's going back. It generates distortion at higher volume. Also, for the price, the remote is very thin on functionality but has good reception. The FM tuner is not that accurate and seems to drift a lot.
Summary: sorry folks, this is a very unreliable POS. the CD function stopped working, all I get is unknown disk messages on CDs that it has been playing for months. Can't use it with fire wire devices either, even with adapter. Hope you can find something else. I'm looking also.
Summary: Great product so far - I've had it for about a month. It replaces a Onkyo receiver that started misreading CD's afetr about a year. In addition this Yamaha receiver picks up radio stations that the ONKYO could not...from the exact same location.
Summary: When it works, it works great. But it won't play about 20% of our standard CDs, and I mean those purchased with music on them from any vendor. It is very odd, since the other 80% or so work fine.
Excerpt: I only use the product for radio and listening to classical CDs. It is compact and the remote control is useful, however the sound quality is terrible because the base is far too high and there is no way of turning it down.
Summary: I guess I'm one of the few people who bought this unit for stereo FM reception as well as CD. The tuner design is brain-dead. The only stations that will be played in stereo are those "found" and stored by the auto preset scan function.
