Terrible!

Pruitt, J&R
3 January 2011
  • Summary: Without a doubt, the worst piece of electronic equipment I have ever purchased. Instructions extremely unclear, and the bass/treble controls are impossible to work (what ever happened to plain old knobs?). I don't know if they are defective or not, they simply don't work. All the controls and their push-button operation and readouts are confusing.
  • Cons: Confusing / Bad Remote Control, Difficult To Set Up, Poor Sound Quality

  • Summary: Hookup was simple - we don't have the 5-speaker setup at this point, but for a replacement amp to use for the stereo system & tv, it's been an easy-to-install, sound improving addition.
  • Pros: Accurate Controls, Easy Setup, Energy Efficient, Good Power Output, Good Remote Control, Great Sound Quality

Can't beat it for the price!

  • Summary: I bought this receiver so that I could use a CD changer in my small pottery studio. I'm no audiophile, but I do want good sound. After visiting many websites and considering dozens of options, all at the least-pricey end of the scale, I settled on the Teac, and I'm not disappointed.
