Summary: I am not sure what the heck people are thinking but in my opinion it is an EXCELLENT receiver for the price and the features it offers. I brought this from local Costco during 2014 Christmas and liked every bit of it but except once feature lacking.
Summary: Love this receiver! The AirPlay is the main use I have for this receiver, where I stream music from my iPhone iPad or iTunes on my PC. It looks beautiful and sounds gorgeous. The wireless capabilities are great and I can also connect using Bluetooth.
Pros: airplay works great bluetooth streaming works nice wireless connectivity is easy price is a bargain 7 speaker surround sound instead of just 5
Summary: Great Product. Bought after reading CNET review. Intuitive. Easy. Had a 500 watt Pioneer prior. The extra watts must really make a difference. Noticeably better sound quality on same Polk Audio speakers. Very pleased.
Summary: I have to admit I was not sure if I should buy this one. I found a lot of outstanding ratings online but on this website there was a lot of negative feedback as well. So I hoped for the best. My receiver does everything it is suppose to do.
Summary: Overall I am extremely pleased with the unit. It came promptly and has performed better than expected. One draw back, we have Russound units to power the house with music and to date, I've not found a way to hook them up. There is no "out" port for this.
Summary: I've had this receiver since September 2014 and it has worked like a charm. I keep it ventilated because of the heat that it produces and it hasn't given me a single issue. It was easy set up and it has many feature I have yet to try, even after 4 months.
Summary: Best receiver on the market for the price. Has wireless, Bluetooth, and Airplay capabilities which normally come with much higher priced units. Easy to set up. Hardest part was using the remote to key in the WEP code for the wireless. You need to hold down the shift button.
Pros: wireless bluetooth airplay
Cons: remote - still recommend an all-in-one remote
Summary: It is pretty much everything I wanted. I love its sleek look, bundle of features, quality sound output and the more-than-sufficient amount of outputs in general it has. The DN840 is a fantastic receiver, especially for the price.
