Summary: I thought this would be a great receiver since it was a one of a kind. How often do you have a receiver with a network hub built in? Well, that was the driving factor since most of my media is digital as well as providing an interface for my game console, smart TV, and PC. The first thing I noticed is that the receiver get extremely hot when it is on or off due to a feature that allows you to use the switch all the time.
Summary: I bought this receiver to replace my Sony STR-DA5300ES receiver to get better Bravia Sync support and have more HDMI ports. Unfortunately I found major problems with the firmware that is forcing me to return it. The receiver intermittently goes into mute without any reason. The Bravia Sync which is one of the main reasons I bought the receiver has bugs in synchronization and discovery with other Sony products that are supposed to support this feature.
