Summary: I've waited quite a while for a receiver with these features, especially at this price point. I love the sound and the amount of HDMI. I use the USB port a lot. The remote app could be better. But, that's quibbling.

Summary: I decided to turn in my 4 1/2 y/o Yamaha AVR for something newer. I have a hearing problem and recently purchased a Roku2 which shows Netflix streaming with captions. But, in order to receive in HD, you have to have a DD + receiver, not just Dolby Digital.
Summary: I purchased this receiver to replace a Denon AVR1908 receiver. The Denon had 3 problems in 6 years - I got tired of having it repaired. I would not recommend Denon to anyone! The Sony has better sound for about half the price of the Denon. Hopefully, it will be more reliable, too.
