Summary: This is utterly incapable of handling a 1080p signal. It so conveniently says so in the manual. Buried deep under the awesome stuff it can do. The manual is complete and often inaccurate (look at the HDMI 3 input for instance). It really surprises me that even set to Direct input/output over HDMI a 1080p signal is downgraded to 1080i. Test for yourself, hook up your computer or PS3 at full 1080p and it will be a 1/4 of your screen and you'll notice a smaller resolution.
Pros: Energy Efficient, Great Sound Quality
Cons: Difficult To Set Up, No 1080p support, Runs Hot
Summary: Setup is straight-forward. Power is good. However, using a Polk SoundBar 50, center channel sound is very poor quality. No comparison to the Onkyo unit this replaced. You definitely get what you pay for! Good system for the budget minded, but I'll be replacing this thing if/when the economy improves.
Summary: Pro: The HDMI does work and can auto adjust. It is not a 1080P but a 1080i up-convert. It can pass 1080p through it. So Sony is trying to be click and play with works on that. Con: The sound is average at best. The watts rating is also very off. Subtract about 25% of what they say for real world sound. So for a basic sound receiver it is ok. The video part is decent but the sound is lacking.
