Summary: I bought this nearly two years ago as a gift for my boyfriend's birthday (along with a speaker set), and we still use this now as our main receiver in the living room. The system automatically turns off when it's not receiving a signal from the cable box or video game systems, which saves us power and keeps an image from burning into the TV if we forget to turn it off.
Summary: With this receiver being a basic system should be a required piece of equipment for any home entertainment setup. It is remarkable for what it does. The sound will blow you away and at times a movie will give chillbumps with its surround sound. I am Legend, the movie starring Will Smith is a perfect example of tha movie to watch with this receiver. At the beginning of the movie he is in a city driving a car when all of a sudden deer runs down the street.
Summary: It was easy setting it up. Sound is great. We are really loving our movies now..The HD is wounderful. Watching blue ray movies now sound like we are in the therater. This was a replacement for a Sony we had for about 10 years. Hope to get the same time out of this one too.
Summary: the Sony STR-DH510 5.1 channel home Theater Receiver. is the best system that can do everything for you in one big package. you can listen to radio, and all your music device's through the speakers from one system. i highly recommend the Sony STR-DH510 for your surround sound system cause it delivers what you asked for in a system that does the best job I HIGHLY recommend this product to every one the Sony STR-DH510 Sony STR-DH510 5.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver
Summary: I don't think the Sony STR-DH510 5.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver is being made anymore. The latest models are 7.1 or 7.2. Since I only have speakers for a 5.1 system, I was pleased that I was able to obtain this model instead of paying for features that I wouldn't use. The receiver arrived much sooner than the estimated date for deliver.
Summary: Perfect sound quality, great price. I looked for hours and hours trying to find the right Receiver within my budget and i eventually went with this one and i couldnt of been happier with this decision.
Summary: I had an older Sony receiver for almost 10 years before the center channel finally gave out. So when I looked for a new one, I decided a Sony was the way to go, as I'll be very happy if I get another 10 years out of this one. Setup was extremely easy...I just had to unplug the old one and plug in this one. It does take a little bit of browsing through the manual to figure out exactly how to set up the sound the way you like it, but overall I spent only a couple of hours.
