Summary: I bought this nearly two years ago as a gift for my boyfriend's birthday (along with a speaker set), and we still use this now as our main receiver in the living room. The system automatically turns off when it's not receiving a signal from the cable box or video game systems, which saves us power...
Summary: this has to be the easy reciever i have connected in 40 years. then the sound, wow again, clean and clear with plenty of headroom. and the price at amazon was wow again. this is the product i was looking for Exactly.
Summary: I bought this to replace my old faithful kenwood 2 channel reciver . I Recently switched over to Blu-Ray movies and bought a 50 inch plasma Hd tv. Im on a budget like most of us here . This thing is nice! I kinda like things to match, so I bought some Sony matching speakers from Amazon also .
No regrets, but overkill for what I originally needed...

Summary: I had recently purchased a LED TV and the sound was tinny and shallow, so I hooked up a set of Logitec PC speakers/sub to the earphone jack as I have with other TVs. Long story short: it still didn't work as expected...so I decided to get a cheap receiver and some speakers.
Summary: With this receiver being a basic system should be a required piece of equipment for any home entertainment setup. It is remarkable for what it does. The sound will blow you away and at times a movie will give chillbumps with its surround sound.
Summary: It was easy setting it up. Sound is great. We are really loving our movies now..The HD is wounderful. Watching blue ray movies now sound like we are in the therater. This was a replacement for a Sony we had for about 10 years. Hope to get the same time out of this one too.
Summary: the Sony STR-DH510 5.1 channel home Theater Receiver. is the best system that can do everything for you in one big package. you can listen to radio, and all your music device's through the speakers from one system.
Summary: I don't think the Sony STR-DH510 5.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver is being made anymore. The latest models are 7.1 or 7.2. Since I only have speakers for a 5.1 system, I was pleased that I was able to obtain this model instead of paying for features that I wouldn't use.
