Pros: Good price ($69/refurbished), appeared brand new with all items included & batteries for the remote. Lots of plug in including Ipod.
Cons: Could use a loudness button. Included FM antenna needs to be replaced - I used rabbit ears which work well. Have to unplug after sitting unused for a few weeks but then works the rest of the weekend.
Pros: For the price it's a good deal and sounds good with a pair of nice speakers. I brought it for a house party and everybody thought it sounded great. But maybe that was the High Voltage Rock n Roll rattling the building..
Summary: Was looking for strong power source for bookshelf speakers in Living Room. I play the Radio and the easy Portable connection allows iPod, iPad or iPhone to be used via the headphone jack. One connection, no adapters so old and new devices can be used. Sounds great and plenty of power to fill the room with sound. Replaced Bose docking station - sounds much better and connection won't be obsolete in 6 months.
Cons: -i've noticed when system goes into standby when no input is detected it will not power back on using both power button and remote.. Only way to bring back to life is to unplug device and re-plug. PIA cause you lose all your settings each time...
Summary: Bought this for my backyard/pool area. Reception very good for am/fm. Have it hooked up to kicker outdoor speakers, sounds good but lacks loundness bass. Love the iphone/pod plug in the back along with my xm radio. But still lacks that umph factor from the old time amps with the loundness button.
Cons: Item DOA. The display did not even light up. Had to eat the return shipping cost, which is about a third of the cost of the item. I am a long time customer with Newegg, and have always been pleased, and so it is disappointing to see Newegg doing business with a "refurbisher" that clearly never even bothered to turn on the item.
