Summary: Great sound quality, handles the passthrough for 2 Video Game Consoles and A Uverse decoder. Set Up is a pain, remote is undersized and overstuffed with controls but hey "it was a great price" Radio reception and sound is good, power output drives my speakers effortlessly. Still has old school RCA and headphone jacks along with HDMI ports, so its the best of both worlds!!
Summary: I bought this unit for one reason. I wanted to take the output from my computer music card and amplify the signal to five speakers in my shop room. The fact that it has a AM, FM tuner is a plus but it does not have a TV tuner, bummer! It is not equiped with RDS or RBDS for recognition of transmited station and artist information thorugh the radio signals. Even though the price seemed right the instruction book is hard to understand and follow.
Summary: EXCELLENT PRICE, SOUND QUALITY IS GREAT,SET UP IS EASY.YOU CAN HOOK UP 8 SPEAKER AND 1 SUBWOOFER. THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF SOUND FIELDS HELPS ON SPECIFIC MOVIES. 110 WATTS WILL MAKE IT SOUND LIKE YOU ARE AT THE THEATER.
Summary: I received the product very quickly and was very satisfied with the quality. This was my first purchase on Ebay and was somewhat reluctant at first, but now very happy and relieved at the outcome. I now am using the speakers along with a receiver I also purchased on Ebay and enjoying my home theatre.
Summary: I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to purchase a new home theater system at a fraction of the cost that it would take to buy an over the counter home theater system. I hooked this system up to my Sony HD TV and all my system components. The sound is great I used Sony speakers for the surround and an aftermarket Sub to push bass. The only problems I really had were programming the reciever to send sound out the way I want it.
Summary: Based on other Amazon reviews, I decided to give the STRDG720 to an 82-year old friend who couldn't hear his TV well. I thought it would be a good application for a budget receiver. My mistake was loaning him my 5-year old Sony 1000ES first ("Elevated Standards" line). He loved the bright, crisp sound of the 1000ES and even started listening to digital music stations on cable. When I swapped in the 720, he said it didn't sound nearly as nice (of course he was right).
