Great while it lasted. Just need to get a new one.

Summary: Ours is about 10 years old and worked great until recently. It still works, but it keeps shutting down the left speaker and if you play older albums (IE from the 60's) where the tracks were on different speakers, you need to sing along with the lead vocal, or else there's no lead vocal. Something is blown in it.
Summary: I bought this to put into a vintage cabinet because of its small size but strong output. It is also versitile with a lot of input connections. As yet, I have not powered it up and cannot comment on its sound. I will get around to the cabinet installation when I select the appropiate turntable. Then, after I use it for awhile, I'll sell it. I tried turning it on but the power button is stuck and doesn't move.
Summary: I have one of these and for some reason it only works if it is standing on end or upside down. If I so much as touch any part of it it makes clicking sounds and shuts off, requiring me to move it to different positions. It's not getting hot, it just shuts down while display keeps working. I'm about ready to blow a hole thru it.
Great receiver but DOES NOT DO DTS. The 985 includes DTS.

Summary: I haven't found the right suround setting for stereo music. There's a lot of cute features but for music just play it in normal mode. I really should have bought the 985 but I am very happy with this unit. It was well worth the money and movies are awesome in AC-3 5.1.
