Summary: i do not own this receiver but i can point out a potential unintentional flaw with a few of the reviews i have read. all i really want to say is that this receiver pulls a max of ~1586.6 watts, the average home circuit for kitchen, bedroom, or living room allows for 15 amps at 115~120 volts.
Summary: I have been a true SONY buyer for many years, so I have no doubt in the systems quality or capabilities. For the money SONY is one of the best bang for your buck electronic suppliers. I have not been able to try it out as my house burned domn on Christmas night,(we were not home thank God)and I am awaiting my speaker system.
Summary: Sony replaced an older es model of mine with this after my old one broke. It took Sony "9 months" to replace the receiver. After numerous calls to rude operators with no answers I finally threatened to sue. Only then did I get my replacement. My new receiver has been broken since i got it and am afraid to return it. Sony makes decent products but even the store where i bought the receiver says Sony has the worst customer service.
