Summary: The receiver works just fine. No defects. I have another receiver just like this and I love it. However, there were no antennae included in this most recent purchase, and although I have written the seller several times, and he has sworn he'll send them to me, I still have no antennae. I can't find AM/FM antennae for this unit, so this will be used for other purposes.
Summary: So far so good. The unit was clean and nice and works very well. Easy to set up. I chose this from among many for the price and quality. There was no need for me to have hdmi as the other inputs works well enough alone for my purpose of use.
Summary: i bought mine off ebay for $70 got a great deal on it! and the retail for brand new was 129.99 which is still good for 110 watts X 6. lots of power auto calibration is a great thing! when i bought mine it didnt come with the auto calibration mike but i borrowed my brothers mic that came with his Yamaha one and it worked great. menu is a little out dated but if you read the manual (mine did not come with it so i found it on the internet) you will have no problems.
Summary: ive had this receiver for 4 years and use it in the bedroom not the living room.its got all the connections i could want ,plenty of power, and is pretty easy to use.sound quality is ok in stereo and in 6.1 is is very good.there are some things i dont like about it but very little .i paid 160.00 for it new and cant complain .its been used 4 to 8 hours every day now for 4 years.sadly sony no longer makes it .i perfer 6.1 over 5.1 or 7.1 myself but were all differnt.
Summary: I bought this receiver because it had a microphone for auto-calibration. The mike has a female tripod screw for mounting on a tripod. I decided to do the calibration with the mike mounted on the top of my head. This method seems to have worked fine. The other nifty feature is that when you turn on the receiver, it starts with the previous setting. If you turned it off with the video setting (TV), it turns on with the TV.
