Summary: The remote to the receiver did not work. The receivers A/V inputs did not work so I couldn't get sound from the TV. The front speak inputs would short one of the 2 speakers connected to them every 4 hours. The item is being sent back and exchanged.
Summary: If you want a basic 7.1 (or 5.1 in my case) receiver that fits in small places, this is a solid choice. Useless EQ settings aside (the usual Movie, Concert, etc settings that sound horrible), you can simply adjust the bass/treble and individual channel settings and get fairly clear, well-rounded...
Summary: I originally bought this player in February 2010 because the wife had to have a specific entertainment center. The audio portion is actually really decent and packs some punch, although nothing like my AudioSource Tripath based amplifiers.
Summary: I had a rather short lived experience with this receiver. The first phase of its installation went well. I turned it on and began to take it through it's paces however, the design of the speaker hook up circuitry then took its toll. The unit would not stay functional for more than a few moments.
Summary: Our primary goal in picking this model was its low-profile form factor. We needed to fit a receiver into a 5.5" opening in our cabinet and there weren't a lot of AV receivers that would fit. The VuNow network feature is hit-and-miss. It's clever but it only uses a 4:3 image on our 16:9 HDTV.
