Summary: This receiver is very nice. It is simple powerful and above all else it is CLEAN! It does NOT have HDMI switching. However, I use my TV for switching so the receiver is on the same digital input at all times. The FM sensitivity is excellent. The remote is nice, but I use my logitech for everything.
Summary: It has to be hooked up to your TV to monitor the setup-process. Problem is, the only choice for hook-up is "s" video and component. I have a new LG Smart TV and no "s" video. They haven't put one of those on their TV's for years they say. Apparently, Amazon is selling very out-dated products. The manual doesn't haven't a contact number and Amazon doesn't have enough details on their web-site. The seller never got back with me either.
Summary: After getting some great surround sound speakers, only to find out we needed a receiver to go with it, I researched online and finally settled on this model. The back of the unit looks like the cockpit of a 747. There is no HDMI port, but there's about everything else imaginable. We've got this connected to our Samsung HDTV, DVD/VCR player and DVR for DishTV. All are working in perfect harmony.
Summary: I bought this unit to add multi channel capability to my bedroom system . I did not for one minute think it would be this good . first off after reading that you should not use 4 ohm speakers meant my Polk Audio speakers were out of the question ,however after writing Sherwood they told me that it would be fine if there was plenty of ventilation .
Summary: SHERWOOD HAS BEEN AROUND FOR A LONG TIME..ITS SEEMS THAT NEWCASTLE IS THERE HIGHER END STUFF...ONLY ONE STORE HAD IT..WHEN LISTING IT PUT SOME OF THE BIG BOYS (500-600) UNDER THE CARPET.. EASY TO USE GREAT POWER AND A SOUND THAT WILL WOW YOU..IF YOU LOOK AROUND YOU CAN FIND THIS BRAND NEW FOR UNDER 200.00.
Summary: 1st off everything works as it should, inputs decoding remote room set up no quirks that I have happened into. The biggest thing is the lack of power I have it in a smallish room 150 ft2 or so and it will play as loud as you would like it but there is no extra power, no way this has a hundred watts per channel. That being said the sound is quite good and for the price I don't think you can beat it.
