samsung doesn't care about compatibility of its own products
unhappy customer, Amazon

Summary: I have a samsung sound bar (Samsung HW-D450 AudioBar Home Theater System) which was connected to my older samsung TV (Samsung UN22C4000 22-Inch 720p 60 Hz LED HDTV (Black)) using the optical cable. I bought this new Samsung TV that I am reviewing (Samsung UN26D4003 26-Inches 720p 60Hz LED HDTV (Black) [2011 MODEL]) which is more advanced than my previous one and even has HDMI conenction. To my surprise, the new TV does not have a connection for the optical cable.
Summary: I impulse bought this receiver at the Brick in Canada. It's had problems since day one, but I have been too lazy to take it in for warranty, and it very well might be up already. Only 2 of the 4 HDMI inputs work, and sometimes like other peoples issues, it automatically reverts back to optical input even though it isn't hooked up and the HDMI's are. Really annoying. I have a Panasonic BluRay player, a PS3, a Motorola HD cable box, and a Sharp Aquos TV.
Summary: Bought one from newegg. Did not get a chance to test it until 45 days past. The receiver kept power off automatically when tuning the volume. Must be a defective device on arrival. Newegg refused to take it back or exchange. OK never buy stuff from them anymore and so disappointed with Samsung.
Summary: After three days of trying to get this thing to work I finally gave up. I would pay more if the darn thing would work. Love Samsung's 8000 series plasma and 7000 Led tv's (only with the full array LED back lighting), but this amp is a piece of @$%&!
Beware this unit has ARC issues, selling for $100 on ebay because of it

Summary: Don't buy this unit new, its selling on ebay for about $100. I bought it new for $550 from best buy. Wish I could return it or sell it for $300. It has technical issues with Anynet and with ARC. Samsung is not being responsive about fixing the issues either. Been waiting for two weeks to hear back. this thing needs a firmware update to fix these issues. They had one in May but it disappred in June. Samsung won't answer why.
Summary: I purchased this item to upgrade from my old Sony analog receiver. I was looking for a switching capability for multiple HDMI connections, which this model gave me. I set up the unit with brand new speakers and wires and was pretty happy with the results. After 3 weeks I learn that the only way the IPOD fucntions works is by playing the songs in my library alphabetically by song name, not exactly what you would call a great way to play music for a party.
Summary: The receiver looks sharp, and that's all it has going for it. I am returning mine. I wish Amazon had a "zero-star" rating because I would have chosen that for the "Design quality" and "Manual" categories. My components (the first three came as a Samsung "package deal" with 3D glasses): - Samsung UN55C8000 240hz 3D LED TV - Samsung BD-C6900 Blu-ray disc player - Samsung HW-C700 AV Receiver - Motorola HD DVR (from Time Warner) My configuration: - An HDMI 1.4 cable connects...
Summary: I bought this unit along with a Vizio VF552XVT HDTV (non-3d)and a PS3 blueray player (non-3d). I used top of the line 1.4 HDMI cables. I'm wondering if this unit has to be pairs with Samsung 3D components to work. No matter what combination of HDMI ports I tried (and I tried both my blueray player and HD cablebox signal), I could not get a picture to display on the TV using the receiver.
