Summary: I've been using this receiver in my home theater system for a few months now, and I like it. Digital is a definite upgrade from the old receiver I was using, and I like how it enables me to add surround sound to my system, including wireless back speakers. But: it's not that easy to set up! I spent a lot of time with the manual, and I even called Samsung tech support once. You have to program the unit to associate each HDMI connection with a particular speaker setup.
Summary: Just got this a few days ago to complement my Samsung BD and Plasma. Replaced an older Samsung 5disc DVD HT, so used the Samsung speakers from it. Sound is good, no problems with video, either from the BD with a DVD being upconverted, a HD Tivo hooked up - tried all resolutions from Tivo, PC via HDMI, and video/audio via Iphone all played/looked/sounded great.
"Almost" Everything I could have wanted in a New HTR.

Summary: I bought this with the Blu-ray Player Combo and overall I'm quite pleased with the system. I gave up trying to find decent BD-Player software that wasn't glitchy or PIA and decided to go to 'real' components. This HW-C500 is quite a nice piece of audio-video engineering, and beautiful on my desktop, but the setup interface does seem a bit too difficult because of the single line text.
