Summary: It works great and it s small enough to hide anywhere. The only thing is that those darn blue lights get annoying after a while. you could still see them after 3 layers of masking tape. will have to cover them with black electrical take to really black them out. I mean it's like a disco in a dark white room.
Summary: Bought this unit a few years ago and it never really worked as it should. Like many other reviewers, I too had trouble with the left speaker sound. An occasional tap on the top of the unit or pushing the sound control a little to one direction would fix the problem for some time so I never really got around to sending it get repaired.
DOA/POS..THIS IS THE WORST AMP I'VE EVER PURCHASED
ole geezer, Amazon
19 October 2011
Summary: I read all the bad reviews on this product; however, I love Amazon ALOT,I ordered it because I needed something with a small footprint. Well, I got a small footprint and that is all I got. The only audio output that works is the headphone out and it doesn't have enough power to drive the new Sony SB3000 speakers I bought with it. The balance control is wired so that both channels are wired to the left end.
Summary: My 14YO daughter volunteers her singing talents at senior centers and nursing homes and this looked ideal to combine her mic and CD backing tracks. It's compact and has more power output than we would ever need. Combined with two 8ohm speakers this was the perfect answer for her needs. For even the largest audience we never had to set the volume at more than one-third. We even found a padded case that it slipped into for protection when not in use.
Summary: I have had my PTA3 for just over a month now. It produces great sound, is more than powerful enough for the space. I prefer this very much over integrated devices that, when the mechanical parts break (CD, DVD player, etc.), you have to toss the whole thing out.
