Summary: I just received my pt590au, for the most part its cool but my unit doesn't have the SD/USB port.... Where they are suppose to be I'm lookin at at Pyle home logs. No ports.... Where ate the ports? Factory defect? Ur input is greatly appreciated.
Summary: Update 3/13/15: After three months it no longer works. Electronic buzzing even when all wires are disconnected. The sound quality and features are very good, but there is a fan inside that is always on. A worse thing than the fan always on is that the area around the dials light up in blue and they are always lit even when the receiver is off.
Summary: Mine was dead on arrival; wouldn't power up. I also specifically ordered this receiver because the product description stated that it's 12.9" deep. It is in fact 14.5" and not going to fit inside the cabinet, which was the entire reason I ordered this particular item.
Summary: As ALWAYS Amazon is great to deal with, this product however I would stay away from. First one arrived and power button had a short in it. Two days later (Amazing amazon) the new one arrived and one of the screws that held on the hdmi ports was stripped out, so the screw fell out and ports cannot be used. Quality control for this must be non-existent.Sent both back and In the end I opted for a small upgrade in price to the Onkyo - so we'll see when that arrives.
Summary: Avoid this product. I have seen problems with audio with my blu-ray player and my Apple TV. I thought it was just a bad receiver so I exchanged it and the new one has the same problems with the same movies. Center Channel can not be adjusted adequately for the movies that do play. I use Apple TV, Chromecast, Blu-Ray. DVD movies seem ok but Blu-Ray discs have issues, I get the surround sound but not voice track.
Summary: sounds like a bad ballast in a halogen light.....tried different speakers but still the same buzz .... reread manual called a friend and still after 10 minutes of playing the buzzing comes bach to haunt me
