Summary: This compact, versatile amp is just what I needed in my home office. It's not got the power for a living room, but it's sized well for my 12 x 12 foot space. It arrived in great shape and is sturdy and well-built. The remote is handy. I combined it with a 6-input/output switch to manage audio from the TV, sirius radio, mp3 player, and computer to the speakers or headset.
Summary: So far so good, with this little amp. I have only used it via the RCA inputs, not the card reader or USB. As noted in other reviews, it does have a bit of noise, but that's to be be expected considering the price point. Puts out decent volume and is fairly compact.
Summary: This amplifier is advertised as 40 watts-per-channel. Turns out 40 watts-per-channel is peak power, at this level the distortion makes it unusable. At 1 kHz and 1% total harmonic distortion (THD) they only put out 10 watts-per-channel into 4 ohm speakers, this is stated in the manual. This is about 5 watts-per-channel into 8 ohm speakers, which is what I have. What do you do with a 5 watt-per-channel amplifier? I also noticed the buzz others have complained about.
Summary: Great little amp for the price. Quite powerful however there is a slight hum, barely noticeable but it is there. Also the power off button on the very small remote does not turn the unit off, it just turns off the sound which leaves the very bright red power light and the blue light around the volume control still glowing, a little annoying but I can live with it. I have it connected to a TV and PC, the stereo sound is very good.
