Summary: This receiver replaces a 1990 Technics model receiver that was primo back in the day. I survived without 5.1 for quite a while, but adding AppleTV exceeded our available Ethernet connections and HDMI inputs so it was time for a change.
Summary: We needed to replace our home theater (in a box) system because, once again, the DVD unit stopped playing movies. Therefore we wanted a basic, entry level 5.1 Receiver an pair it with DVD player that can be replaced at lower cost if it failed again.
Does the job, interface could be better but sounds great!

Summary: I replaced a Yamaha receiver with this unit because I wanted airplay built-in and my old one didn't have that ability. This one does. To be honest thats the main reason why I wanted this unit. The price was good, the features were good and I decided to go for it.
Summary: It's good and a kind of easy to install but anyway I wasted some time to discover the issue regarding the subwofer that was not turning on. Well if you have the same issue even if the cable is plugged be aware that this receiver does not have an amplifier to make the sub works, so you have to by one...
Summary: Works great. Does everything I need it to. I have an Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and cable box connected to it. No issues during setup and it sounds good with my speaker setup. Way better than the old Pioneer htib that it replaced.
Bought it for the Airplay feature mostly... and mostly it works very well 4.5 stars really

Summary: Had been tracking quite a few low end receivers to replace my 5 year old Harmon Kardon POS (bought it at Fry's, I got ripped off, hated that thing) and this popped up as a Lightening Deal for 179 and figured well worth it for the Apple Airplay link if for nothing else.
Summary: I ordered this reciever and the Yamaha listed elsewhere. I really like this unit for its layout and dedicated HDMI channels which is a small thing but details count. Rather than HDMI 1, 2, 3, etc. it actually labels each for easy connections.
