AirPlay implementation is poor, and cuts out constant

Dark-Energy, CNET
30 December 2013
  • Summary: Returning back to BestBuy tomorrow.
  • Pros: - Good number of HDMIs, - Good set of wireless features such as Airplay, HTC Connect and DLNA
  • Cons: Very poor AirPlay implementation, my iPhone 5s constantly cuts out after 1-2 minutes of playback of music. I will have to return it and go with a Sony STRDN-840 instead. I updated to the October 2013 firmware and still the issue was not resolved.

Didn't work for me

tracy clayton, Amazon
20 October 2013
  • Summary: I think mine was defective. Had all new equipment, thought it was me or my equipment wasn't compatible, and spent hours trying to make it work. Finally gave up and returned it. Bought a denon locally and bing, batta, boom, it worked great. So at least I know it wasn't me.

No AC out. Lacks the quality of older models.

John Oconnor, Amazon
17 October 2013
  • Summary: If you have a powered sub woofer to power up or wish to turn on your Blu-ray you'll have to manually turn them on and off do to the lack of an AC out on this and all other units. The industry has lowered the quality of all of their units.
