Summary: I think mine was defective. Had all new equipment, thought it was me or my equipment wasn't compatible, and spent hours trying to make it work. Finally gave up and returned it. Bought a denon locally and bing, batta, boom, it worked great. So at least I know it wasn't me.
Summary: If you have a powered sub woofer to power up or wish to turn on your Blu-ray you'll have to manually turn them on and off do to the lack of an AC out on this and all other units. The industry has lowered the quality of all of their units.
Summary: I bought this receiver on sale during New Year Holiday. After one week, I had to return it. It was a lousy receiver. I had a Denon before. But that Denon does not have any HDMI. After seeing this one has many HDMI ports, thought it would solve my problem. But the sound quality is really bad. On my old Denon, I could hear the smooth silkiness of the music, but this one, its quality of sound is merely comparable to the sound from the TV itself.
Summary: Ok receiver but I had some frustrations with it and am considering returning it for a Denon or Onkyo. On screen display is horrible. Networking functions and core receiver functions are seperate entities from each other resulting in a confusing experience. Airplay audio is distorted. when I power on the TV it switches from the satellite input to the TV input and then I have to manually reselect the input that it was on before resulting in a frustrated wife.
