Summary: I expected much more from this unit. I had owned the 919-k which is the previous model and it blew this out of the water. Dont be fooled by "3d capable" hdmi most hdmi of the past 5-6 years will still do 3d. On top of the sound being sub par the video consistently cuts out during all sources of input be it cable receiver or ps3. This item was a joke and i highly regret buying it.
Summary: It was a 4 star receiver during the 1.5 years I owned it but realistically, even a cheap product such as this shouldn't fail in under 2 years. I guess that one year warranty really does mean something. For the first year or so, it was a solid receiver with plenty of features for the price and came with decent amplification.
Summary: Piece of junk, I did not expect pioneer to relies this kind of product. Although sound quality is good, build quality is so poor I saw better done in the 80s in china. All face is plastic, volume knob is bad, gets heated like an oven…etc.
Summary: I bought this receiver (VSX 920K) to upgrade from my older Pioneer the VSX D510 which is superb with great bass and crystal clear sound, but needed HDMI to go with the rest of my set up.Switch over from old to new receiver was very simple as Pioneer have not really altered the connection system for the speaker wiring.I ran my older receiver through my Bose passive sub woofer as I have with the new one. This is where things started going down hill!
