Summary: Yeah... like so many others here, my HDMI conked out completely. For quite some time, it had problems with a Comcast Motorola HD-DVR... when we would switch to On Demand programming, it would lose the HDMI and we'd get 'sparkles' or 'static'. The only way to fix it was to turn the receiver on/off. Then the other day the HDMI would lose the picture, but keep the audio... it would either go black or the image would be pixelated, but all green or all magenta.
Summary: This is a very nice unit. Overall I am satisfied with it, the sound it gives is very good. The only thing I'm not happy with is the input for blue ray quit working shortly after I got it. I hooked up the blue ray player to the dvd connections and it appears to work ok.
Summary: I expected much more from this unit. I had owned the 919-k which is the previous model and it blew this out of the water. Dont be fooled by "3d capable" hdmi most hdmi of the past 5-6 years will still do 3d. On top of the sound being sub par the video consistently cuts out during all sources of input be it cable receiver or ps3. This item was a joke and i highly regret buying it.
Pioneer VSK-920-K 7.1 an EXCELLENT CHOICE and EXCELLENT PERFORMER..

Summary: I purchased this unit Dec. 2010 and like any other electronics you need a lot of time for all of the kinks to get out, learn the FULL FUNCTIONS OF THE UNIT. I can now say the Pioneer VSX-920-K 7.1 is an EXCELLENT CHOICE & EXCELLENT PERFORMER. I HAVE 770 WATTS OF POWER, IT SOUNDS GREAT, I also have the PIONEER SW-8 POWERED SUBWOOFER. It operates with your iPod touch. THE SOUND IS UNBELIEVABLE.
The perfect receiver to fit with my old units, very fast turn around.

Summary: I was looking for a pioneer that 16.5 inch wide. I looked for weeks. I finally found it. The receiver arrive very quick and hooked up easy. Great sound. I need two zone and it is perfect. You can listen to zone b only which is awsome for parties and what not. Very happy with everything. Ebay is wonderful.

Summary: ...and then, it stoped working 3 months after warranty expired. It started to shut itself down when connected to HDMI components. It can be reset at first, and then stopped working altogether with any HDMI input. Similar problem as described by other reviewer that gave 1-star rating. I bought it to replace my retired 10-year old Dennon receiver. It worked great for the first 14 months with good sound, good video and good features. Thought I had a great bargain.
DO NOT BUY - HDMI output stopped working after 3 months

Summary: If no stars was an option, I would have picked it, one star because I don't have a choice. It was shipped on time and received in good condition. Read the bad reviews on this receiver and DO NOT BUY IT. Pioneer quality doesn't exist anymore. I have another Pioneer receiver the VSX-5700S that I purchased way back in 1991, and it still works great! Unfortunately HDMI didn't exist back then so I thought I would upgrade to a new receiver.
Summary: I have a long story about this receiver that you can fully read in the discussion boards... All you need to know though is to STAY AWAY from this product. It is junk. It is crap. It is garbage. Mine began to crap out after owning it for a mere two weeks... The problems were never fixed by Pioneer or their local authorized repair shop. Owning this receiver for 4 months equated to a 3.5 month headache.
