Summary: This is a beautiful unit. It has HDMI hookups for DVD player and monitor plus all other formats including optical. DTS, Dolby Digital, THX certified, ProLogic 1 & 2, the list goes on and on. You can adjust audio effects to many different room settings. For the money, this is one grand receiver. I have a Paradigm surround speaker system and now I may have to replace my fronts with bigger, badder towers. There's plenty of power to run it all. Tawn in Minneapolis Mn.
Summary: Pros? Its Pioneer. It's black.Good sound. Dislike? Cheap plastic face plate. Receiver's dimension: is longer than wider. Booklet is really cheap, made of cheap paper with hard to see font, its kind of Wall Mart quality. Remote also looks and feels cheap. To set this receiver up you have to connect it to monitor.Small and outdated display. Average design.
Summary: Very fast and it was just as advertised. New in box and I am very happy with the price. My 9 year old Sony died what a change in receivers I love how it controls my Ipod from the remote. The sound is great and brought to life my home viewing to the next level.
