Summary: It's an ok unit, has flaws though. The USB port came loose and doesn't work correctly anymore. Half the time you turn the unit on the left speakers have sound coming from it then you have to flip through the speaker channels to get the right side working.
Great audio, but way too much fine print on the video

Summary: Took a couple of hours of wiring this thing up to finally get it into an acceptable configuration for my home theatre. I don't have much, just a U-Verse DVR, Blu-Ray, and a Wii. Unfortunately, the Pioneer was very unclear, and in some senses, quite annoying, about its video capabilities.

Summary: I purchased this product after comparing reviews of it and similar products. This is my third Pioneer A/V Receiver over several years. I am generally pleased with the product but there are a couple of things that could be improved.
Summary: I needed a two-channel (stereo) audio device for my sun-room. Unfortunately, these days you have to buy a 5.1 or 7.1 receiver even if you only need a quality stereo amplifier. So, I chose this Pioneer (VSX 819H-K) especially because of its built-in I-pod usb port and the supplied i-pod cable.
