Summary: I purchased a suround system several years ago. About six months ago the Pioneer receiver went out. I purchased a used Pioneer receiver through Amazon. It wasn't boxed very well but it works great.
Summary: I've had this system for 3 years and I am very pleased with it. I have it playing through JBL FS-1000 Floor Speakers and although the wattage doesnt completely match, it still sounds fantastic. Calibrating the speakers is so easy with the MCACC system. Really makes a huge difference. It has enough imputs for everything I need minus HDMI, but it came out before that really blew up.
Summary: I've had this unit for a couple of weeks now and I find it to be very impressive. Great bang for the buck. Set up, if you wish to use some of the great features, can be a little tricky. The manual could use some help (small print on rather low quality newsprint paper). It would have been nice if the selections would be displayed on the TV screen (e.g. volume) instead of having to look at the LED display on the receiver itself.
Summary: I like this unit better than my Onkyo for use as my surround sound system, great sound and video quality. The only thing it is lacking is access between pre amp and pwr amp to power my Bose 901's with the equilizer. Its a great deal at Amazon's price. I'm tempted to buy another one with this sale.
Summary: It has all the bells and whistles that one could ask for a reciever that retails less than 1K let alone 500.00. The only thing it lacks from it's big brothers is an HDMI in&out for HDTV.Has a lage menu of sound processors that will dazzle anyones appetite. XM radio reciever and MACC level controls you'll only find in the big boys. All in all it's the best"Bang for the Buck" for medium size home theater rooms.
