  • Summary: I love this particular receiver because I have a turntable a tape player and VCR and other older legacy equipment that I was not able to use with any of the new pioneer stereo receivers that uses HDMI and is only interested in digital output or inputs so I love this receiver because it has lots of great features great sound and I can use all my old legacy equipment, I guess I'm not ready to be able to forget all my great records tapes and all my past.

Best Elite Receiver ever!!

rtinatl, Ebay
30 December 2006
  • Summary: Has all of the features of the newer Elite receivers, except HDMI(which due to HDCP issues is almost useless!!) and iPod capability (who wants compressed audio through a great home system?) Compare the weight of the 56 txi to the newer Elite receivers. The 56 is MUCH heavier, and as we all know, heavier receivers sound better. The weight is in the power supply transformer and capacitors, where your ears can hear it.
