Summary: I purchased a brand new Pioneer Elite VSX-52 from Amazon/Crawford's Superstore in July of 2011. In March of 2012 the HDMI video stopped sending a signal to my TV. I contacted Pioneer and they told me to take it to an authorized repair center.
Summary: This is my first A/V receiver so I did jump into the waters pretty deep however the receiver is so far an excellent piece of equipment. I have only had it up and working for approximately two weeks now (1/19/12)but find it performing well with the limited use that I have set up.
Summary: First, please be aware that anytime you purchase a Pioneer ELITE product online, it is not official and voids the manufaturer warranty. So, you need to factor in purchasing a Square Trade warranty online, which is a good warranty and shouldn't be more than $80.
Summary: I replaced a sony STRDA5200ES reciever with this Pioneer VSX 52 The Sony cost twice as much yet was not 3D compatible. The Pioneer sounds better and works with my Samsung 55in flat screen in my bedroom well. Now I may replace my bose system in the family room with the pioneer.
Summary: Got a good deal on this pioneer I thought, hooked my two 12" cerwin Vegas to it with good 12 gauge wire, gets loud but dosnt have the bass i expected, you can tweak and tune spending hrs on trying to get it to sound the way you want but I am still not able to get the bass I want out of it.
Summary: my home theater setup with this receiver includes the ff: samsung 46" lcd tv, samsung bd-c6800, apple tv2, directv sat receiver, jbl es series speakers (es90 as fronts, es25c as center, es30 as surrounds and es250pwch as my wireless sub).
Summary: Pioneer has truly hit the ball out of the park with this product. I have everything (Blu Ray, Apple TV, etc.)hooked up to receiver via HDMI cables. Just bought a 65" plasma to go with this. I can control the receiver with my IPhone. Absolutely love it!!!
Summary: Great clarity and definition doesn't quite have the punch of my old ONKYO 606 though. This unit is not for novices there are more adjustments than any unit I have owned. If you don't know what your doing the sound may be a little flat.
Summary: I switched from Denon to Pioneer and I'm very happy I switched! The integration into Apple products is the best. The sound and video is also outstanding. Love the iPad controller it really makes controlling the receiver much more user friendly.
