Summary: Great system for the money. Much better than other Sony receivers I've had that didn't last. Sound is fantastic through speakers as it allows you to run hdmi cables through the receiver so you can use the surround sound all the time when watching tv or blu rays. used almost daily for 3 or 4 years
Summary: I prefer Pioneer products, and this receiver will last me a long time. The quality is very nice, and the price was attractive. I'm glad I could find just what I wanted to accompany my Pioneer 301-Disc CD-File Changer. I would recommend this product highly to anyone.
Summary: To be honest I bought the receiver because the price was too good to be true, but I had my doubts regarding the power output but at that time I did not care. When I received it I connected 2 JBL L820 for the front, for center speaker sometimes i connect a cerwin vega VE5-c and some other a LC2 JBL,...
Summary: When I first bought this system, I was using two Sony bookshelf speakers in 2.0 configuration, and they sounded Ok. I decided I needed surround sound, so I bought the Klipsch HD 300 speakers. Good speakers make all the difference.
Pros: The sound quality of this system redefined my definition of good sound. It has plenty of inputs for me, and switches HDMI. It is 3D capable if I ever decide to buy into that scam. The receiver doesn't cause lag between my PC and my HDTV.
Cons: The FM reciever is not very sensitive The Bluetooth module is another $100 Ever since I bought this, other systems I thought were great just seem mediocre now.
Summary: My aging (30 years old) Philips stereo finally gave up the ghost. I had been looking around for a replacement and found this Pioneer on Amazon.com -- talk about an excellent price! This receiver has all the features I need and decent power as well.
